Scot and Reina met at Bard College while they were undergraduates at the Conservatory of Music. After keeping their distance for a year, they found each other on the 2012 Bard Conservatory orchestra tour to China and began dating (she asked him out, by the way). They built a life together through the rest of undergrad, including recitals, finals, graduation, cat adoption, long distance during grad school, eating their way through many international travels, a move to NYC, and finally to San Francisco. They are tying the knot after 14 years together!
